Dear Runner,
Thank you for showing interest in the free training being provided by Reebok. The objective of the training is to guide and help the applicants with the knowledge and technique to improve one's performance in long distance running. The focus of the training will be to increase endurance through practical classes outdoor. The training will be conducted outdoors only.
The training module which has been developed with the help of internationally acclaimed marathon trainers is broadly classified in to 4 segments.
CARDIO VASCULAR SEGMENT
This activity helps to improve the CV (cardio vascular) capacity of the participant to enable him/her to run 7/21 kms. It will help in gradual increase of stamina which will happen with practice and progression at a steady pace.
The training would cover the following aspects:
Warm up and cool down exercises
Stretch exercises
Proper running techniques
Pace Management
DIET:
Diet aspects of the training will cover the following:
Tips on performance food
Hydration
Energy Drinks
Carbohydrates loading
Protein loading
INJURY PREVENTION:
An extreme sport like the marathon involves a huge risk of injury. This part of the training will deal with injury management, techniques to avoid injury, warming sings and other important issues like selection of the right footwear and apparel.
